The department conducts teaching training and research programmes at M. Sc. and Ph. D levels. The department is engaged in a collaborative research project with National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Mumbai, on Use of wetland based system for waste-water treatment.
The department has on its roll a good number of reputed teachers specialized in their respective subject/areas of study.

Mission of the Course
To develop human resources through teaching, training and sensitizing the youth for appreciating the importance of environment in a holistic manner for human survival and welfare and to inculcate a positive attitude to respect nature. To create a society of motivated citizens, committed to conservation, preservation and protection of the environment and striving towards a life of tranquility and peaceful coexistence of all life forms on the Earth.          Let us join hands and work in unison to fulfill this mission.
