The Department of Zoology is one of the oldest faculties of the college. The department is housed on the ground floor of "Biology Block". The under graduate course in Zoology was started in 1967 and the experience gained through successful running of this course culminated into the start of Post graduate course in 1982.The department also facilitates researches and has well equipped laboratories along with a departmental library.
The Department has a centralized instrumentation room for research work It has a library having more than 1500 reference and text books and a good number of old journals.
