NSS Day Celebrated at A.N. College, Patna A.N. College, Patna celebrated National Service Scheme (NSS) Day with great enthusiasm on 24 September 2026 at the Satyendra Narayan Sinha Auditorium. The programme was inaugurated with the National Anthem, floral tributes and lamp lighting. Principal Prof. Ratna Amrit welcomed the Hon’ble Lady Governor, Ms. Sabiha Hasnain, who highlighted the importance of NSS in developing a spirit of service, discipline, social responsibility and active citizenship among youth. She also appreciated the social initiatives of A.N. College. Sri Sumit Kumar, IAS, Project Director, Bihar State AIDS Control Society, was also present. Students presented cultural programmes and impactful street plays on dowry and AIDS awareness. Honouring Sporting Excellence Two outstanding sportspersons of A.N. College were felicitated: Ms. Riya Singh (BBM) — selected to represent India at the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship 2026 in South Korea. Mr. Rohit Kumar (Psychology) — Captain of the Indian U-18 Rugby Team. Both students were awarded a cash reward of ₹21,000/- each in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contribution to bringing pride to A.N. College. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

The two-day Bihar-Jharkhand State-Level NSS Conference-2026, organized jointly by the Regional Directorate (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India), NSS Patna, and A.N. College, Patna, concluded successfully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. More than 300 Programme Officers and participants from various universities and institutions across Bihar and Jharkhand attended the conference. The second day of the conference began with the NSS anthem. Subsequently, Programme Officers from the four groups shared details regarding NSS activities, achievements, and future action plans through PowerPoint presentations. Expert sessions provided crucial training on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Swachhata Abhiyan (Cleanliness Drive), and transparent and effective financial management using the PFMS and TSA models. Prof. (Dr.) Inderjit Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna, attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest; Mr. Deepak Kumar, former Deputy Programme Adviser of NSS, was the Guest of Honour; and Dr. Kaushal Kishore (IAS), Secretary of the Department of Youth, Employment, and Skill Development (Government of Bihar), was the distinguished guest. Prof. (Dr.) Ratna Amrit, Principal of A.N. College, presided over the event. Speakers highlighted NSS as a vital medium for fostering a spirit of service, leadership qualities, social responsibility, and a sense of nation-building among the youth. Dr. Sujit Dubey, Programme Coordinator at Patliputra University, presented a detailed report on the conference's two-day activities and key outcomes. At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Vinay Kumar, Regional Director of NSS (Bihar-Jharkhand), expressed his gratitude to all the guests, Programme Officers, volunteers, and participants. Certificates were then distributed to the participants. The event was successfully conducted by Dr. Sirin Masroor, NSS Programme Officer at A.N. College. Patna, September 19, 2026. A ‘Youth Dialogue Programme’ was organized on Saturday at the Satyendra Narayan Sinha Auditorium to mark World Brotherhood Day, under the joint aegis of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari (Patna Branch) and A.N. College, Patna. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda. While welcoming the guests, the college Principal, Prof. Ratna Amrit, highlighted the contemporary relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s ideas, noting that his message serves as a vital source of inspiration for today’s youth. The keynote speaker, Ms. Nivedita Raghunath Bhide (Padma Shri)—All India President of Vivekananda Kendra—delivered an insightful address. She spoke at length about Swami Vivekananda’s life struggles, his historic speech at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago on September 11, 1893, and his remarkable ability to influence the world despite facing severe hardships. She noted that, despite adverse circumstances in America, Swami Vivekananda effectively presented Indian culture and intellectual traditions on the global stage. The students were deeply inspired by his powerful ideas. City Patron Dr. Nirmal Srivastava was present on the dais. Prizes and certificates were also distributed to the students during the event. The NSS unit played a commendable role in ensuring the programme's success. College faculty members, non-teaching staff, and hundreds of students attended the occasion. The attendees described the youth dialogue as highly beneficial and inspiring.

New Opportunities for Careers and Entrepreneurship in Handicrafts! A special session on "Career and Entrepreneurship Opportunities in the Handicrafts Sector" was organized under the joint aegis of the Start-up Cell, A.N. College, Patna, and EPCH. A special session titled "Career and Entrepreneurship Opportunities in the Handicrafts Sector" was successfully organized on September 18, 2026, by the Start-up Cell of A.N. College, Patna, in collaboration with the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH). The primary objective of the event was to acquaint students with the career, entrepreneurial, export, and business opportunities available in the handicrafts sector and to encourage them to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship within this field. The program commenced with a welcome address by student representative Ms. Vandana Singh. Subsequently, the event was formally inaugurated through the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the offering of floral tributes in the presence of the College Principal, the Faculty In-charge of the Start-up Cell, guest speakers, and faculty members. On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Ratna Amrit, Principal of A.N. College, Patna, welcomed the guests and students. Following this, Mr. Vinod Kumar Gupta, a guest speaker from EPCH, delivered an expert session on soft skills, emotional intelligence, and decision-making capabilities. He underscored the importance of effective communication, interpersonal skills, emotional understanding, and logical thinking in personal and professional development. Additionally, they discussed ways to enhance students' decision-making abilities through various soft skills and prepare them for future challenges related to careers and entrepreneurship. During the session, special emphasis was placed on how traditional handicraft products can be transformed into successful business ventures through innovation, modern design, effective branding, digital platforms, and market-oriented strategies. Students participated enthusiastically in the program and asked various questions regarding handicraft entrepreneurship, exports, and career prospects during the Q&A session. On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, the inaugural issue of the wall magazine ‘Ankur’—edited by students of the Hindi Department—was unveiled by the college Principal, Prof. Ratna Amrit, and the renowned Hindi playwright Hrishikesh Sulabh. Enchanting Hindustani Classical Music Performance at A.N. College A special Hindustani vocal recital by renowned Hindustani classical music artists Pt. Ritesh Mishra and Pt. Rajnish Mishra was organized today at Anugrah Narayan College, Patna, in collaboration with SPIC MACAY. The event took place at the S.N. Sinha Auditorium located on the college campus. The program was inaugurated by College Principal Prof. Ratna Amrit; Prof. Maya Shankar, former Head of the History Department at Patna University and Chairperson of the SPIC MACAY Patna Chapter; Swadha Rizvi, Director of ICCR; and Mr. Manish Singh Thakur, Vice-President of SPIC MACAY Bihar. Pt. Ritesh Mishra and Pt. Rajnish Mishra mesmerized the audience with their melodious and impressive classical vocal performance. Both artists are top-grade performers with All India Radio and Doordarshan. Topic - 'Social Media, Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Hindi Literature'

The Placement & Guidance Cell of Anugrah Narayan College, Patna, successfully organized the 'Campus Placement Drive 2026' on September 7, 2026, in the college's conference hall, in collaboration with Flywide Aviation Institute. The event was attended by the College Principal, Prof. Ratna Amrit; Placement Cell Coordinator, Dr. Ratnesh Kumar; Cell member, Dr. Kamna; and representatives from Flywide Aviation Institute, including Director/Centre Head Arsh and Trainer Aliya. A New Step Towards Student Empowerment A.N. College, Patna has signed an MoU with Medha Learning Foundation, Lucknow, to establish a Medha Career Center on the college campus. The initiative will provide students with training in employability skills, entrepreneurship, life skills, industry exposure, workshops and career-oriented programmes. The programmes will be offered to interested students completely free of cost. The MoU was signed in the presence of Principal Prof. Ratna Amrit, Bursar Dr. Abhishek Dutta, Placement Officer Dr. Ratnesh Kumar, Dr. Sanjay Singh, and representatives of the Medha Learning Foundation. This collaboration marks another important step towards empowering students with skills, opportunities and a future-ready career outlook.

On the occasion of Teachers' Day, a special seminar and the 'Shiksha Ratna Samman-2026' award ceremony were organized at the A.N. College library auditorium. The event was held under the joint aegis of the Mahamana Malaviya Mission (Bihar Chapter) and Anugrah Narayan College, Patna, focusing on the theme: "Education, the Role of Teachers, and Their Contribution to Nation-Building." 80th Independence Day Celebration, Anugrah Narayan College, Patna

A significant MoU has been signed between A.N. College, Patna and Equity Foundation to promote mental health and emotional well-being among students, teachers and staff. The MoU was signed by Prof. Ratna Amrit, Principal, A.N. College and Mrs. Nina Srivastava, Equity Foundation, on 18 August 2026 and will remain effective for three years. Under the MoU, a Mental Health Counselling Centre will be established on the college campus, providing accessible, professional and confidential counselling services, along with mental health awareness, stress management, life-skills and faculty sensitisation programmes. Equity Foundation will provide qualified mental health professionals and support counselling and awareness initiatives, while A.N. College will facilitate the centre and ensure easy access to its services. This initiative marks an important step towards creating a healthy, supportive and emotionally resilient campus environment and promoting the holistic development of the college community. Another Meaningful Step Towards Employment On August 18, 2026, the Placement Cell of Anugrah Narayan College, Patna, successfully organized the 'Campus Placement Drive 2026' in the college conference hall, in collaboration with Sweeptrend Private Limited (a Hitachi Air Conditioner partner). The event was attended by the College Principal, Professor Ratna Amrit; Placement Cell Coordinator Dr. Ratnesh Kumar; members Dr. Shweta, Dr. Prashant, and Dr. Kamna; as well as key representatives from the company. Addressing the students, Principal Prof. Ratna Amrit remarked that such placement opportunities play a vital role in helping students secure employment that aligns with their academic qualifications, skills, and capabilities. She encouraged the students to participate in as many such opportunities as possible. Dr. Ratnesh Kumar, the Placement Cell Coordinator, provided the students with detailed information regarding the selection process and the available job opportunities. College, Patna, successfully organised SCALEX 2026 – “Startup Growth & Market Connect” on 21 August 2026 at the Seminar Hall, Shatabdi Bhawan, to mark World Entrepreneur Day. Mr Abhinav Jha, CEO, Tirhutwala Innovations Pvt. Ltd., joined the programme as the Guest Speaker and shared his entrepreneurial journey and valuable insights into building and scaling a startup. Ms. Himani Mishra, CEO, Brand Radiator, also shared valuable insights on funding, developing business ideas and building a strong brand presence. A major attraction of SCALEX 2026 was the launch of four innovative startup products The first product launch was ADWITA ANNAPRASHAN – Traditional First Food for Babies by Tirhutwaala Innovation Pvt. Ltd. The Player & Team Auction Management Portal, developed by Brand Radiator, was also inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Ratna Amrit, Principal, A.N. College and Mr S.K. Verma, Assistant Director, Grade-I, MSME, Patna. The portal has been developed under Brand Radiator’s Games Management System (GMS).. Two products, “AURIVVA – Icy Mint Blue Tea” and Pan Jaggery, innovative tea and beverage products from Brihati Natural Foods Private Limited, were also launched. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr Niharika Kumari, Faculty In-Charge, Start-Up Cell, A.N. College, Patna. Sachin Raj, Start-Up Cell Coordinator, and student representatives Vandana Singh and Piyush Kumar played an active role in organising the programme successfully. The successful organization of SCALEX 2026 – “Startup Growth & Market Connect” reflects the continued efforts of the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, under Startup Bihar, and the Start-Up Cell, A.N. College, Patna, towards nurturing young entrepreneurs, promoting innovation and creating stronger linkages between startups, MSMEs, industry experts and markets. The programme concluded with the inspiring message “Innovate, Build and Scale”, encouraging young innovators to transform their ideas into impactful ventures, contribute towards employment generation and play an active role in building a strong, innovative and Aatmanirbhar Bihar.

Inter-Departmental Speech Competition Organized at A.N. College The Department of English at A.N. College, Patna, organized an inter-departmental speech competition. The event was inaugurated by the college Principal, Prof. Ratna Amrit. She remarked that such events foster the all-round development of students and suggested that they should be held at least once a month. The competition provided students with an opportunity to express their views on various contemporary and thought-provoking topics without prior preparation. Participants demonstrated confidence, clarity of expression, originality of thought, and impressive oratory skills. Anushka Agarwal, an undergraduate student (Semester I) from the Department of English, won the first prize. Lalan Kumar, an undergraduate student (Semester I) from the Department of Chemistry, secured the second prize, while Harshit (B.Com, Semester V) took the third place. Principal Prof. Ratna Amrit honored the winners and extended her best wishes for their bright futures. She commended the initiative taken by the Head of the English Department, Dr. Seema Prasad, along with Dr. Vinita Singh and Dr. Brajesh Kumar, to provide a platform for students to hone their communication skills and to encourage the participants. A footwear trial (testing of shoe sizes and fitting) was conducted at the Library Seminar Hall of Anugrah Narayan College, Patna, under the Government of India's indigenous footwear sizing system project, "Bha." The objective of this program is to contribute to the development and validation of an indigenous footwear sizing system specifically designed to align with the anthropometric characteristics of the Indian population. This project is being spearheaded by the CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (CSIR-CLRI) under the aegis of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The program was inaugurated by the college Principal, Prof. Ratna Amrit. Highlighting the national significance of this initiative, she stated that an indigenous Indian footwear sizing system would ensure better-fitting and more comfortable footwear for the Indian population. She commended the efforts of CSIR-CLRI and the Government of India in developing this system based on the actual foot characteristics of Indians. She further remarked that this initiative would play a pivotal role in strengthening the Indian footwear industry and enhancing its global competitiveness. The activity received an enthusiastic response from the college community. So far, approximately 50 participants have undergone the testing process. These include Principal Prof. Ratna Amrit, Prof. Shailesh Kumar Singh, Dr. Prabha Kumari, Dr. Nisha Kumari, Dr. Kavita Raj, Dr. Mani Bhushan, Dr. Shalini, and Dr. Shatrudhan, along with other faculty members, staff, and students. Launch of Student Support Camp A Student Support Camp was inaugurated at the library auditorium of A.N. College under the 'Sabka Samman, Jeevan Aasaan' (Respect for All, Ease of Living) campaign, which is part of the Bihar government's ambitious 'Viksit Bharat–Samriddh Bihar' (Developed India–Prosperous Bihar) and 'Saat Nishchay-3' (Seven Resolves-3) initiatives. The event was inaugurated by Prof. N.K. Agrawal, Director of Higher Education, Bihar. He stated that the camp serves as a powerful medium to establish direct dialogue between the government and the students. He noted that the objective of 'Saat Nishchay-3' is to extend the benefits of development to every section of society, and through the 'Sabka Samman, Jeevan Aasaan' campaign, efforts are being made to resolve students' issues under a single roof. Prof. Ratna Amrit, Principal of A.N. College, presided over the event. She affirmed the college administration's commitment to making this campaign a complete success. The 'Khelo India Samvad' (Khelo India Dialogue) program was successfully organized at the conference hall of the Centenary Building at A.N. College, Patna, under the aegis of 'My Bharat' and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The college Principal, Prof. Ratna Amrit, graced the event with her presence. Also present on the occasion were Prof. Sujit Dubey (NSS Coordinator, Patliputra University), Ms. Priyadarshini (Deputy Director, My Bharat and District Youth Officer), international Wushu medalist Ms. Diksha Kumari, para-athlete Ms. Soni Kumari, and a large number of NSS volunteers. Speaking on the topic “प्राचीन काल में कृषि व्यवस्था का ऐतिहासिक विश्लेषण (Historical Analysis of Agricultural Development in Ancient India)”, Prof. Amrit presented a scholarly and engaging discourse on the evolution of agriculture in ancient India. Her lecture beautifully highlighted the richness of India’s agricultural heritage, historical practices, agrarian institutions, and their relevance to contemporary understanding. 80th Independence Day Celebration at A.N. College, Patna: The Departments of Political Science and History at A.N. College, Patna, jointly celebrated the 80th Independence Day on Friday, August 14th, with great enthusiasm and a spirit of patriotism. A vibrant cultural program was organized as part of the celebrations, featuring classical dance, patriotic songs, and stage performances. The cultural program included a play titled "Adhoori Azaadi" (Incomplete Freedom) and a short play (skit) titled "Chandrashekhar Azad: Azaadi ke Amar Senani" (Chandrashekhar Azad: Immortal Freedom Fighter). These performances highlighted the immense sacrifices, courage, and dedication of the freedom fighters who fought for India's independence. The objective of these events was to remind the audience of the struggles and sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters during the nation's journey to independence. The celebration was held in the distinguished presence of Principal Prof. Ratna Amrit. To foster a spirit of patriotism, NSS volunteers from A.N. College, Patna, organized a grand 'Tiranga Yatra' (Tricolour Procession) on August 14, 2026, at 9:30 AM as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. The event was flagged off by the college Principal, Prof. Ratna Amrit, from the administrative building. Speaking on the occasion, she elaborated on the significance of the Tiranga Yatra, noting that the national flag symbolizes our self-respect, unity, and integrity. She emphasized that through the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, we should express our respect for the nation by hoisting the Tricolour at our homes. The event was attended by Patliputra University NSS Coordinator Dr. Sujit Dubey; Programme Officers Dr. Naveen Kumar, Dr. Shirin Masroor, Dr. Amrita Chakraborty, and Prof. Seema Sharma; as well as Dr. Vandana, Dr. Madhu Manjari, and Dr. Sanjit Lal, alongside hundreds of NSS and NCC volunteers from the college. International Youth Day 2026 Programme and Intensified Campaign Date: 12 August 2026 Venue: Bapu Tower, Patna Organized by: Bihar State AIDS Control Society (BSACS), Department of Health, Government of Bihar Theme: HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention A programme was organized on 12 August 2026 to mark International Youth Day and to inaugurate the Intensified Campaign, being conducted from 12 August to 12 October 2026, as per the directions of the Government of India and the Bihar State AIDS Control Society (BSACS). The campaign aims to create awareness among young people regarding HIV/AIDS prevention and to promote their meaningful participation in awareness activities. The programme witnessed the participation of students and representatives from various colleges. Project Director Sumit Kumar, IAS, elaborated on the relevance and objectives of this year’s Intensified Campaign against HIV. Two competitions were organized as part of the programme: • Exhibition Competition • Stage Drama Competition The Exhibition Competition provided students an opportunity to present paintings and other creative displays based on the theme. The best entries were evaluated on the basis of their presentation and relevance to the theme. We are proud to share that Bhumi Kumari, a student of the Zoology Department, A. N. College, Patna, secured the *First Prize* in this category. A Stage Drama Competition was also organized to communicate important messages related to HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention through an engaging theatrical format. The competitions encouraged students to express their creativity and disseminate scientifically accurate messages regarding HIV/AIDS prevention among the youth. Prizes were awarded to the winning participants/teams. In the Stage Drama Competition, the participants of A. N. Health, Hygiene, and De-addiction Awareness Program On August 11, 2026, the NSS unit of A.N. College, Patna, organized two significant programs in the library auditorium aimed at fostering health, hygiene, and social awareness among students. Menstrual Cup Awareness Program — Organized in collaboration with the Pothi-Patri Foundation, this program featured Dr. Padmini Kumari and Richa Singh Rajput, who shared vital information regarding menstrual hygiene, women's health, the prevention of uterine cancer, and the use of menstrual cups. '10 Crore De-addiction Pledge' Mega Campaign — Held in collaboration with the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya under the Government of India's 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' (Drug-Free India Campaign), this event saw Principal Prof. Ratna Amrit, Prof. Shailesh Kumar Singh, Shri Subodh Ji, and Smt. Veena Ji educating students about the adverse effects of substance abuse and encouraging them to adopt a healthy, positive lifestyle. Students and NSS volunteers took a pledge against substance abuse. The Department of Chemistry at A.N. College, Patna, celebrated National Chemistry Day with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. Approximately 186 students from various departments of the college, including the Department of Chemistry, participated enthusiastically in the event. The Start-up Cell of A.N. College, Patna, successfully organized a "Workshop on Pitch Deck Preparation" today. The event aimed to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students and familiarize them with the process of creating impactful pitch decks. The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Niharika Kumari, Faculty In-charge of the Start-up Cell. While welcoming the guests and students, she highlighted the significance of such training programs in promoting start-up culture. She remarked that a pitch deck is not merely a tool to secure investment but an art form for effectively presenting one's ideas. She encouraged students to work on novel ideas, take risks, and realize their dreams by engaging with the start-up ecosystem. She explained to the students that a successful start-up begins with identifying a real-world problem and that an effective pitch deck is the most crucial medium for presenting ideas clearly and compellingly to investors. She discussed the key components of a pitch deck in detail—problem identification, target customers, solutions, business models, market analysis, traction, competition, the team, and effective presentation to investors. Additionally, she encouraged students to develop prototypes, gather customer feedback, and cultivate a practical mindset. They also shared information about various schemes and startup support programs—such as Startup Bihar, Sayuj (STPI), and the Razorpay Rize Program—explaining that aspiring entrepreneurs could access guidance, incubation, and financial assistance through these initiatives. The Department of Political Science at A.N. College, Patna, successfully organized a two-day "Academic Talks" program on July 13–14, 2026. Three lectures covering contemporary national and international political topics were held as part of this event. On the first day (July 13, 2026), Professor Naved Jamal from the Department of Political Science, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, delivered a lecture on "The Changing Nature of India's Foreign Policy." He presented a detailed analysis of the priorities, challenges, and strategic shifts in India's foreign policy within the context of the evolving regional and global landscape. On the second day (July 14, 2026), Professor Ravi Ranjan from the Department of Political Science, Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi, delivered a lecture titled "Ethical Dilemmas of Modern Democracy: Exploring the Concept of Welfare from an Indian Perspective." Following this, Dr. Vijay Verma from the Department of Political Science, Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi, spoke on "Contemporary International Issues." Both speakers offered profound, enlightening, and thought-provoking insights into significant topics concerning the contemporary political and international landscape. The program was inaugurated by Professor Ratna Amrit, Principal of A.N. College. On this occasion, she shared her views on democratic values, ethical governance, India's global role, and the necessity of inclusive development. Anugrah Narayan College, Patna The Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the participants and NSS volunteers who actively participated in the World Population Day 2026 programme was successfully organized on 18 July 2026 at 12:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of A. N. College, Patna. The ceremony was graced by Prof. Ratna Amrit, Principal, A. N. College, Patna, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Senior Professor Kalanath Mishra, Dr. Abhishek Dutta, Bursar, Dr. Varun, Department of Hindi, and NSS Programme Officers Dr. Navin Kumar and Dr. Amrita Chakraborty. State-Level Marathon and Walkathon July 28, 2026 Successfully Conducted with Enthusiastic Participation from A.N. College, Patna Students and NSS volunteers of A. N. College, Patna enthusiastically participated in the State-Level 5-km Marathon and Walkathon 2026, organized by the Bihar State AIDS Control Society (BSACS), Health Department, Government of Bihar, to promote awareness about HIV/AIDS and encourage a healthy lifestyle. The programme was held at Patliputra Sports Complex, Kankarbagh, Patna, beginning at early morning as per the schedule communicated by BSACS. A contingent of 46 students and NSS volunteers from A. N. College participated in the event under the guidance of NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Amrita Chakraborty. The event commenced from Patliputra Sports Complex and passed through Medanta Hospital, Gayatri Mandir, and nearby routes before concluding at the starting venue. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various educational institutions across Bihar, reflecting a collective commitment to spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS, eliminating stigma and discrimination, and promoting healthy lifestyles among young people. In the marathon event, Anand Kumar Jaiswal of A.N. College represented the college in the State-Level Marathon after securing second place in the district-level competition, bringing pride to the institution. The District-Level Red Run 2026 was successfully organized across all districts of Bihar. Six districts, each with participation from more than ten institutions, were recognised for their exemplary organisation and coordination during the State-Level Red Run 2026 programme. Patna district was among the honoured districts. In recognition of its outstanding organisation, effective coordination, and remarkable participation, the District Red Run Nodal Officer, Dr. Amrita Chakraborty, was conferred the Best District (Patna) Award at the State-Level Red Run 2026 programme.

Indian Psychology Day was celebrated on 29 July 2026 Tuesday by the Department of Psychology at A.N. College, Patna, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology at Patliputra University, Patna. The central theme of the event was "Mental Health in the Digital Age: Opportunities and Challenges," where experts shared detailed insights on the impact of digital technology on mental health and the relevance of Indian psychological traditions. Chief Guest Prof. Ratna Amrit stated that the digital revolution has brought about sweeping changes in lifestyle, education, and social relationships. In such times, the development of psychological awareness and emotional intelligence is crucial for students. She commended the event for focusing on mental health. Prof. Vinita Narayan, Head of the Psychology Department, presided over the event. She remarked that integrating Indian psychological knowledge with modern scientific perspectives could help strengthen emotional balance and holistic mental health. On the occasion of Van Mahotsav Week, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of A.N. College, Patna, organized 'Van Mahotsav-2026' at the 'Anugrah Vatika' located within the college campus. The objective of the event was to raise awareness about environmental conservation and to pledge towards building a greener future through tree plantation. The event was inaugurated by the college Principal, Prof. Ratna Amrit. In her address, she spoke at length about the importance of forests, environmental balance, and the necessity of tree plantation in the current times. She encouraged everyone present to plant a tree in honor of their mothers ('Ek Vriksh Maa Ke Naam') and to adopt a tree. Under her leadership, various types of saplings were planted in the Anugrah Vatika. A significant five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between A.N. The College-Level Red Run 2026 was successfully organized on 26 June 2026 at A. N. College, Patna under the aegis of the Bihar State AIDS Control Society (BSACS). The event was conducted as part of a statewide initiative to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS, adolescent health, healthy lifestyles, and the importance of regular physical activity among young people. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments of the college. It commenced with the registration of participants, followed by an orientation session highlighting the objectives and significance of Red Run 2026. A total of 25 students participated in the marathon competition. Based on their outstanding performance, 10 winners (05 male and 05 female participants) were selected to represent A. N. College, Patna at the next level of the competition.
